How an Energy Efficient Furnace Helps

This winter I was completely fed up by the sporadic heating from my ancient furnace. After much indecision, I finally consulted my regular home remodeling contractor, Landmark Construction Crew for suggestions on what to do.

The technicians took a look at the heating system and promptly suggested that I should go for a new and energy efficient furnace that would heat my house properly and also cause a substantial reduction in my energy bills.

We set to work on the project and they updated me about the varying AFUE ratings of various furnaces and what they meant. They guided me on the best configuration and make to suit my family’s needs.

While I was assured of proper installation by the experienced team, they informed me that faulty ducting or inadequate insulation will still continue to strain even the new system and lower its performance. This made sense to me and I agreed that they should first go ahead and seal all the leaks and check the insulation. A proper ducting system was also planned and installed before upgrading the furnace to the latest version. I was even made to realize that regular checking and cleaning is essential for keeping the furnace working properly.

In hindsight, I really appreciate that we are able to stay warm and toasty all winter without any cool drafts or cold floors anywhere. And the utility bills do not deliver a shocker anymore either!
